The shape of the day
This is the classic first trip to the Delta, rebuilt so it does not feel like one. We move west through Suzhou and Hangzhou, keep hotel changes to two, and leave the evenings free rather than filling them with another transfer.

Step by step
Day 1 · Shanghai
The Bund, Yu Garden and the French Concession, or a more personal mix if you have been before. Dinner on your own, with our list if you want it.
Day 2 · Suzhou
Drive to Suzhou for the Humble Administrator’s Garden, a canal-side lunch and the old lanes. Continue to Hangzhou in the late afternoon and stay two nights.
Day 3 · Hangzhou
West Lake, Lingyin Temple and a tea village, then the return to Shanghai or a direct transfer to the airport. If you have an evening flight, we build the day backwards from it.

- Two hotel changes are included; we can reduce it to one by basing you in Hangzhou for two nights.
- The route works in either direction, depending on your arrival city and flight times.
